Tom Ford Spring 2027 Pushes Seduction Closer to Danger

In a dimly lit Paris venue lined with mirrored walls, models walked in groups, their reflections heightening the room’s tension.

This set the stage for Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, where creative director Haider Ackermann reaffirmed that the brand’s core remains unapologetic seduction.

Although Tom Ford stepped away years ago, the brand’s signature eroticism is even more pronounced under Ackermann’s precise direction.

Presented during Paris Fashion Week in September 2026, the show felt more like an intimate, charged moment than a traditional runway presentation.

Ackermann described the presentation as capturing “the feeling that something has happened, or is about to happen.” Models walked in pairs or groups, occasionally swapping or layering “companion” looks as they moved. For example, Anok Yai slipped on a liquid-sheen bodysuit with a smoking jacket mid-stride, illustrating this fluid interplay.

Prints and flashy ornamentation were absent, consistent with the house’s clean aesthetic. Drama emerged through cut, proportion, and the tension between coverage and exposure. Sharply tailored jackets and trousers appeared in refined tones of baby blue, black, olive, and white.

Many looks were worn without layers underneath or paired with plunging swimsuits, open shirts, and structured bras. Dress pants gained impact when styled with a moulded rubber bustier. Sculptural outerwear hinted at the body beneath, creating an architectural sense of restraint.

Ackermann’s tailoring remained rigorous, but here it was sharper and more intimate. Suits opened to the torso, and jackets were worn directly on bare skin. The result was controlled, projecting both power and ease.

One male model carried a luxurious vicuña coat instead of wearing it, dressed in a simple crewneck and pale pink thong, highlighting the collection’s themes of freedom and deliberate nonchalance.

The most striking moments featured deep, lipstick-red evening looks. Rich, body-hugging dresses and ensembles on models such as Mariacarla Boscono and Alex Consani moved with confidence.

Some dresses slipped off the shoulder to reveal matching leather or padded satin bra tops, while others featured high collars with geometric cutouts. Red flowers on jacket lapels referenced classic glamour while maintaining a modern, slightly dangerous mood.

Swimwear made a notable appearance, with wraparound, minimal styles and abstract cutout pieces closing the show. These architectural designs extended the collection’s exploration of skin as both material and metaphor.

Subtle eroticism appeared throughout: a semi-sheer skirt with a transparent back panel revealing a thong, mesh shirts, and lingerie structures emerging from beneath cashmere or silk.

A playful yet luxurious nod to Hugh Hefner’s style appeared in red silk robes with the TF monogram and relaxed bathrobe-style trench coats in silk or leather. These pieces balanced sharp tailoring with a sense of private decadence, evoking ease after the public performance.

Ackermann has refined Tom Ford’s language of desire since becoming creative director. For Spring 2027, he pushed these themes further.

“Seduction is the pillar on which this house is built,” he noted. “This time I felt like pushing it further, closer to danger. There is something deeply sexual in a body that reveals itself without offering itself. In a gesture that feels spontaneous and perilous at once.”

The result was a quiet sensuality. While many designers in Milan and Paris explored desire and physicality this season, Ackermann’s approach stood out for its restraint and precision.

The collection balanced exposure with suggestion. Cutouts, lingerie elements, and strategic transparency framed the body rather than simply displaying it. The clothes projected quiet confidence and an understated sexuality.

Leather, cashmere, and silk added tactile depth. Accessories reinforced the mood, with bags and clutches secured by straps that suggested subtle bondage references without becoming costume. The palette remained sophisticated: blacks, neutrals, soft blues, olives, and intense reds.

This collection continues Ackermann’s thoughtful evolution of Tom Ford. He has preserved the founder’s focus on sex appeal and sharp tailoring while introducing his own perspective.

Instead, he has allowed desire to evolve, creating a darker atmosphere with a lighter touch and more ambiguous invitations.

The mirrored setting heightened the sense of voyeurism and self-awareness, making the audience both observers and participants. demonstrated that the Tom Ford woman and man can be bold, playful, and sophisticated at the same time. The clothes suggested people comfortable enough in their own skin to reveal selectively, to move with ease, and to treat seduction as a private language rather than a performance.

Under Ackermann, the house codes feel both faithful and revitalised: elegant, erotic, and edged with enough danger to remain compelling.

For those following the brand’s evolution, the collection offers a clear message: true seduction rarely needs to raise its voice. It holds the gaze, opens a door at night, and lets the rest unfold.
