A new model just made her debut on the runway at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Solange Omon, a 21-year-old model from Cameroon now living in Maine, walked the runway as Victoria’s Secret’s newest Angel.
Chosen from tens of thousands of applicants through a nationwide casting process featured in the YouTube docuseries Angels Among Us, her debut was a significant moment for both her and the brand’s renewed focus on its signature Angels.
Her progression from community work and local fashion shows to an internationally recognised runway reflects the ambition, authenticity, and opportunity Victoria’s Secret seeks to promote.
Omon’s story extends beyond fashion, highlighting resilience, determination, and the importance of remaining true to oneself.
Solange Omon was born in Cameroon and later moved to Maine, United States. As the eldest of six siblings, she balanced full-time college studies with work in the nonprofit sector.
Before her modelling career, she worked as a program coordinator, assisting Black and immigrant teenagers with job applications, networking, and professional development.

In Maine, she participated in multicultural fashion shows, gaining experience while continuing her education and community work. Friends and colleagues described her as bubbly and warm, qualities that distinguished her during the competition.
While living alone during the casting process, Omon emphasised the importance of sharing milestones with her family, particularly her mother.
Her background differs from traditional modelling career paths.
Instead of advancing solely through agency scouting or established fashion circuits, Omon contributed real-world experience in youth empowerment and community service. These qualities align with Victoria’s Secret’s focus on individuality and inspiration for a new generation of Angels.
Victoria’s Secret held an open casting call that attracted applicants from across the country, with some reports citing over 100,000 hopefuls.
The six-part YouTube series Angels Among Us documented the process, following executives, including Adam Selman (EVP and Chief Creative Officer), as they visited cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, and Chicago.
Mentors and judges included established names like Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, and Ashley Graham.
Omon distinguished herself during the Chicago stop, where her lively personality secured her a spot among the top 10 finalists.

The experience combined stress with increasing confidence. Omon described feeling nervous during early rounds but becoming more assured as she progressed.
When her name was announced as the winner during the live Fashion Show reveal, she experienced a mix of joy and empathy for her fellow finalists, who had become friends.
“I was shocked,” she later shared. “I was expecting my name, but not expecting my name.” She recalled processing months of work while wishing the others could celebrate with her.
Victoria’s Secret CEO Hillary Super praised Omon’s distinctive spark: “Her joy, confidence and individuality embody what the next generation of Angels stand for—women who are unapologetically themselves, who dream big and who inspire others to do the same.”
Adam Selman highlighted her authenticity and resilience, noting that her presence and story left a lasting impression throughout the process.
On October 18, 2026, Omon officially debuted at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Spotlights followed her as she walked in a silk nude-colored bra and underwear set with black lace trim, paired with golden wings.

Omon’s selection reflects Victoria’s Secret’s effort to reconnect with fans who have aspired to become Angels. The casting call and docuseries directly addressed public interest expressed through messages and social media.
By selecting a young woman who balanced college, nonprofit work, and local modelling, the brand emphasised accessibility and diverse pathways into high fashion.

Looking ahead, she has expressed strong ambition.
Modelling represents the career she wants to build, and her Victoria’s Secret debut serves as a launchpad.
With an IMG contract and the Angel title, Solange Omon is positioned to expand her presence while remaining committed to the values that brought her success: hard work, authenticity, and inspiring others.
From nonprofit offices in Maine to the 2026 Fashion Show runway, Solange Omon’s rise offers a compelling modern Angel narrative.
She is not only the newest face of Victoria’s Secret but also a reminder that big dreams can begin in unexpected places.
