Nigerian luxury womenswear label Andrea Iyamah hosted a private presentation that set the tone for Lagos Fashion Week 2026.
The intimate runway at Isimi Lagos marked the brand’s fifteenth anniversary with a showcase of colourful resort wear. Models presented flowing garments that combined the brand’s signature boldness with vacation-inspired elegance.
Founded in 2011 by Andrea Dumebi Iyamah, the label has evolved from a passion project into one of Africa’s most recognized resort and ready-to-wear brands.
Andrea Iyamah is known for jewel-toned silhouettes, intricate detailing, and a modern, global celebration of African heritage. The brand has dressed clients including Michelle Obama, Gabrielle Union, and a dedicated international clientele.
With operations in Lagos, Toronto, and New York, the brand consistently delivers clothing for the adventurous, confident woman who values cultural storytelling and refined craftsmanship.
Staged just before the main Lagos Fashion Week programme (28 October to 1 November 2026), this private show served as both a fifteenth-anniversary celebration and a preview of the season.

The venue further elevated the event.
Isimi Lagos, an exclusive wellness and polo estate in Epe, spans two million square metres of preserved landscape.
Meaning “rest” in Yoruba, Isimi features rolling greenery, thoughtful architecture, and an invitation-only atmosphere distinct from typical urban runway venues.
Hosting the show at Isimi Lagos created an immersive experience, pairing luxury clothing with a natural, sophisticated setting. Guests noted both the collection and the distinctive venue.
The collection featured vibrant resort wear inspired by Mediterranean vacations, with rich colours such as emerald, magenta, plum, raspberry, wine, and soft jewel tones.
Light, fluid fabrics complemented pieces like the Balu crop top, Beka maxi skirt, mesh dresses, tunics, corset-inspired tops, jumpsuits, and coordinated sets designed for versatility.

The overall effect was playful yet polished, with clothing suited for a coastal terrace, sunset dinner, or an elevated Lagos evening.
Attendees noted the high level of craftsmanship and the joyful atmosphere.
Actress Somkele Iyamah wore ethereal looks that embodied the collection’s romantic, holiday mood, while industry observers praised the quality and creativity.
A guest highlighted the strength of Nigerian fashion and its potential for further growth through improved infrastructure and global reach, congratulating the brand on its fifteen-year journey.
Andrea Iyamah’s enduring appeal lies in a consistent vision.
The designer has always focused on figure-flattering silhouettes, rich colour stories inspired by nature and culture, and versatile pieces suited for travel.

As Lagos Fashion Week continues at the LagosFW Tents, Federal Palace Hotel, and offsite locations, Andrea Iyamah’s early private show stands as a confident statement of arrival.
The show reinforced that Nigerian luxury fashion commands attention on its own terms, rooted in heritage, open to the world, and ready for new opportunities.
After fifteen years, Andrea Iyamah continues to innovate beyond past successes.
The colourful, breezy looks that closed the private runway at Isimi Lagos reflect a brand eager to celebrate, continually innovating to help women feel radiant, and demonstrating that African-designed resort wear belongs on the global stage.
While the Mediterranean vacation set the tone for the evening, the journey of a label that began with a teenager’s determination and became an international favourite is far from over.
