When you’re a renowned fashion designer with a bridal fashion brand under your resume, it’s expected that your wedding dress will be spectacular.
Dumebi Andrea Iyamah, a celebrated Nigerian fashion designer, embarked on a new journey in her life by marrying her partner, Eghosa Nehikhare, the Co-founder of Multigate, a company specializing in secure digital financial solutions. As expected, the fashion designer stunned everyone by wearing a fully beaded wedding dress for their traditional wedding ceremony.
Andrea announced her engagement to her fiance-turned-husband on January 13th, 2024, with a charming Instagram post that showcased her unique diamond ring. “I’d say Yes a thousand times…❣️,” she captioned the post on the social media platform “To your heart, your values, your compassion, your strength, your spirit, and everything in between.”
Throughout their relationship, the couple has kept a low profile, with Eghosa rarely appearing on Iyamah’s social media. So, when she announced her engagement, it was a delightful surprise for everyone eager to see the man who captured this designer’s heart.
Photo: Instagram/ Andrea.oi Fast forward to the wedding on May 11th, 2024, Andrea Iyamah wore a breathtaking custom Edo wedding dress from her bridal collection. The dress in a vibrant red hue, was handcrafted with shimmering beads, which according to a statement, required over 500 hours of painstaking attention to detail.
The traditional attire features a strapless sweetheart neckline and has long, fitted sleeves that are also heavily decorated with beads. The dress highlighted Iyamah’s curves beautifully and was complemented by a matching beaded fan and a red velvet purse.
Photo: Instagram/ Andrea.oi The newly wedded bride completed her bridal ensemble with a regal okuku hairstyle, an ornate headdress or crown made of beads that sat atop her head. Around her neck was an extravagant necklace consisting of numerous strands of red traditional beads. Iyamah opted for neutral makeup, with nude shades on her eyes and lips.
Her husband matched her elegance perfectly, donning a sophisticated white robe with a red wrapper underneath. He accessorized with large, round, red traditional beads on his neck and hands, holding a ceremonial staff.

It truly felt incredible…every single moment meant so much and my heart is filled with complete joy!”
