Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Continues His Style Streak In Agbada

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu once proved that he’s the master of men’s style — be it in a well-tailored tuxedo or in traditional attire.
Yesterday, the Big Brother Naija TV host was photographed before the new episode of the reality show on Sunday. For the third live show and the first eviction night of the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season, Ebuka went completely traditional in a Yoruba native attire wearing a 3-piece Aso Oke Agbada set from the D29 2021 collection, which he paired with a matching pair of loafers shoes from the same designer. The media personality also carried his ‘Irukere,’ the horsetail-fly-whisk used by the worshippers, making his look a complete native affair.
Further styling included Ebuka wearing the matching hat atop his head and adding bead bangles to finish off the look for the night.
The TV host is good at what he does. He is his own stylist and while flaunting the front page of SCHICK Magazine’s summer digital cover last week, he told the magazine that he doesn’t mind being known for his fashion sense. “I don’t mind it,” the media personality told SCHICK. “I also don’t mind being known for being stylish; doesn’t harm me in any way. I just don’t want to be known only for that. I have a whole career with too many parts to simply be seen as ‘the fashion guy’ on Instagram. As long as people appreciate it, but also recognize it as one of my many parts, I’m good. Just don’t make it what I’m all about.”
He continued: “I’m completely in charge of all of it. I don’t have a stylist. Never really had one. I basically have ideas of what I want, have a conversation with the designers I like and we make it work. I’m not always comfortable with letting someone else be in charge of my image, so I’m glad that I’m able to handle that. That’s how I work.”
