Cannes Film Festival 2023: Viola Davis Wows In A Feathered Valentino Gown

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Every year, the world’s biggest and brightest stars descend on the French Riviera for a week of glamorous parties, red carpets, and of course, film premieres. This year’s festival isn’t disappointing, with a number of stunning fashion moments.

One of the most talked-about looks of the week is Viola Davis’s Valentino gown, which she wore to the premiere of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s film, Monster. The gorgeous gown featured a crystallized floral appliqué and was layered under a dramatic feathered coat from the luxury label, creating a stunning and unique look. It also came complete with a one-shoulder design and an asymmetrical neckline.

Historically, the Cannes Film Festival has been an intimate setting for fashion lovers and industry influencers. It is the moment when one can show off one’s unique take on style and creativity. It is the perfect place for actors to take risks and stand out. And so it was when the Woman King star took to the red carpet on Wednesday, wearing this gorgeous couture number.

“Monster” is a 2023 Japanese film directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and stars names such as Sakura Andō, a mother who confronts ‘a teacher after noticing disturbing changes in her son’s behavior.’
