We love Serena Williams’s pregnancy announcement for her second child. But if you ask us, Willaims’ daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr is more excited about the news than everyone else.
For one, she’s expecting her future sibling and of course, the adorable Olympia will soon be a big sister. In a new video released by the Tennis Champion, Williams revealed that her daughter has been worrying about her sudden weight gain and revealing the exciting pregnancy news to the youngster, she then explained that she’s not fat but has a baby in her belly. Olympia was left in a state of pure joy as she screamed over the news.
“Remember how you’ve been praying/planning for a little sister or brother?” Williams says to her daughter. “Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I’m not getting fat, but I have a baby in my belly.”
“Are you kidding me?” Olympia replies.
“You’re gonna be a big sister,” confirms Alexis Ohanian, Williams’ husband and Olympia’s father.
Olympia then shrieked and hugged her mom while the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion asked the daughter whether she want to see the burgeoning baby bump and she said “Yes.”
“Oh, my god! I’m so excited!” Olympia said in response while jumping and screaming around the house.
The news of Selena Williams’s baby number two came as a big surprise. In fact, when everyone was busy waiting to see the beautiful dresses that graced the 2023 Met Gala on May 1, Williams was prepping to stun her fans with the pregnancy announcement.
In her crystal-adorned black ensemble finished with a tulle skirt that squeezed out her growing belly, the 41-year-old shared the look on Instagram that she was not only accompanied by her husband to the fashion biggest night but a third party which is apparently her unborn child.
