Activities Lined Up for the 2023 AMVCAs

It all kicks off with the Opening Night and Cultural Day event, followed by the Digital Content Creators and Young Filmmakers Day. Then, on May 19, the Runway Show/Nominee Gala, leading up to the grand finale — the Award Night on May 20, 2023. It will be a whirlwind of fashion, entertainment, and celebration!
Who are the hosts of the 2023 AMVCAs?
Guess who’s back for the 9th time hosting the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards? It’s none other than the awesome Ik Osakioduwa! This year, he’s teaming up with the incredible Zozibini Tunzi, a South African model and the reigning Miss Universe 2019. It’s going to be a dynamic duo taking the stage and bringing the fire to the AMVCAs!
And that’s not all! Brace yourself for the red carpet extravaganza with a lineup of sensational media personalities. AMVCAs Categories and Nominees
The 2023 AMVCA is coming in hot with a total of 33 categories to honor the best in African film and television. 12 of those categories will be open for public voting, so you have the power to decide. The other categories will be decided by a panel of judges led by the legendary Femi Odugbemi. The excitement peaked on April 16, 2023, when the nominees were revealed, and Kunle Afolayan’s remarkable film Anikulapo emerged as the top contender with the most nominations.
