Osas Ighodaro Wins Best Actress in A Drama For the Second Time in A Row

Nollywood movie star, Osas Ighodaro, has once again claimed the coveted title of Best Actress in a Drama at the 2023 AMVCAs. This remarkable achievement comes as no surprise, as her outstanding performance in the film “Man of God” captured the hearts of viewers and garnered well-deserved recognition.

For the glamorous award night, Ighodaro exuded pure elegance in a bespoke, shimmering gold corset gown, accentuated by a gracefully segmented train that flowed behind her. Her makeup was an exquisite display of minimalism, with a touch of bold red lips that beautifully complemented her understated elegance.

Amongst the other nominees in the category were Bimbo Ademoye, who delivered an outstanding performance in “Anikulapo,” Enado Odigie for her role in “Flawsome,” and Immaculata Oko Kasum, who mesmerized with her portrayal in “Ile Owo.”

Ini Dima-Okojie was also on the same list for her remarkable performance in “Flawsome,” as well as Ini Edo, who commanded the screen in “Shanty Town.” The 2023 AMVCAs “Best Actress” nomination list was no doubt a competitive one as Nimo Loveline, whose compelling performance in “The Planters Plantation” scored her the nomination for this year’s award ceremony.

Nse Ikpe-Etim was not left out for her impactful role in “Shanty Town,” likewise Queen Nwokoye in “Strained,” and Scarlet Gomez, whose exceptional portrayal in “Wura” left a lasting impression.

Ighodaro’s reputation as an esteemed actress stems from her impeccable acting skills and a magnetic on-screen presence that consistently leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience.
