Bonang Matheba Makes a Case for Oversized Pinstripe Suit
Published: July 18, 2025 Last Updated 10 months ago by Esther Ejoh
When it comes to major events, such as hosting the red carpet or product launches, Bonang Matheba has a no-fail styling trick we can all turn to anytime. She always keeps her look over-the-top, letting a simple dress feel sophisticated, and making sure everything she wears stands out.
This means you can always count on Bonang Matheba to deliver a visually striking look on every appearance.
When she stepped out for a meet-and-greet at the Patek Philippe store in South Africa on July 17, the media gal made a relaxed suit look like the epitome of sophistication.
Her look came in a luxe pinstripe set, featuring an oversized blazer with matching pants in black and beige hues, which she layered over a white button-down shirt.
The 38-year-old South African star added a long necktie in matching hue and kept the accessories simple. She carried a tiny silver microbag that glinted under the lights, and paired it with white pumps.
On her face were oversized angular sunglasses, likely designer, with a futuristic silhouette that added structure to the fluidity of the rest of her look. She didn’t wear loud jewelry or layers of metal. Instead, the outfit itself was the statement, and any smaller adornments served only to complement the whole.

Her makeup followed the same thoughtful direction. She wore a soft-glam look, complete with glowing skin, subtly defined eyes, and a nude lip.

On Wednesday, June 25, Bonang Matheba chose not to mark her birthday with a public party or a string of flashy Instagram Stories. Instead, she curated a fashion shoot that felt more like a visual essay than a celebration. Shared in a carousel of images on her Instagram, the shoot captured her in a series of dramatic, striking outfits.
As a media star and trendsetter, Bonang keeps inspiring with every look. Her presence is strong, her fashion sense unmatched, and she’s not just part of the style conversation, she leads it.
