Kylie Jenner Wants You to Live in Her Shoes with Her New Footwear Collection

When Kylie Jenner attended a game at Madison Square Garden in June, attention quickly shifted from the event to her footwear.

Her silver sandals, paired with Chrome Hearts denim, featured no visible branding or official name.

Online speculation soon identified them as part of an unreleased collection, previewing Jenner’s most significant fashion initiative since launching Khy.

On August 21, 2026, Khy, the brand Jenner founded in 2023, will release its first footwear line. This launch represents a major evolution, transitioning Khy from a collaboration-focused label to a comprehensive fashion house with seasonal collections.

Kylie Jenner partnered with Gia Borghini, an Italian brand recognized for combining architectural design with wearable femininity, to achieve this expansion.

Jenner described the expansion as a natural progression. “I have always loved shoes—they’re the essential finishing touch to any outfit,” she told Footwear News.

“Expanding Khy into footwear felt like an organic evolution for the brand. Partnering with Gia Borghini let us bring that effortless, ’90s-inspired summer vibe to life with Italian craftsmanship—creating sleek, architectural shapes that are comfortable enough to live in all day.”

The campaign launch was bold and highly visible. Kylie Jenner appeared nude in the campaign, wearing only black wedges from the collection.

The image, shared on Instagram on August 12, featured a minimalist graphic with the word “KHY” blurred in circles. The approach was confident and quickly went viral.

The marketing strategy has been in development for months. Prior to the official announcement, the shoes appeared in the Dear Summer, Love Khy campaign.

Jenner wore the silver Muse Thong to the NBA Finals, and the collection has been teased across social media, generating anticipation well ahead of the launch.

The Khy x Gia Borghini shoe collection features three distinct silhouettes, each intended for a specific role in a woman’s wardrobe. The Studio Thong, described as the “essential thong sandal,” is a minimalist everyday option available in black leather and metallic chrome. It is a versatile flat designed to complement any outfit.

The Muse Thong offers a more sculptural design, with a wedge that narrows at the center for a distinctive profile. It is available in black leather, chocolate pony hair, and metallic chrome. The pony hair version, the most visually unique, has sparked significant discussion online regarding its appearance and practicality.

The Icon Sandal is the boldest design, described as “early 2000s, space-race mod.” This strappy, buckled heel is available in white leather and metallic chrome, intended as a statement piece within an otherwise versatile collection.

The Khy shoe collection is produced in Italy, setting it apart from previous fast-fashion collaborations. Gia Borghini, known for its work with Elsa Hosk and Silvia Tcherassi, brings a blend of architectural design and wearable femininity.

This partnership enables Jenner to offer Italian craftsmanship while preserving Khy’s accessible and inclusive brand identity.

This is Khy’s first shoe collection under its new direction. Initially, the brand focused on trend-driven collaborations, including partnerships with designers such as Namilia.

Earlier this year, Jenner announced a shift toward establishing Khy as a comprehensive fashion label with seasonal, wardrobe-focused collections. Footwear marks the first major expansion under this strategy.

The relaunch signaled a shift from pursuing viral trends to focusing on long-term brand sustainability.

The first collection, Born in LA, included essentials such as graphic tees, hoodies, and denim, priced from $70 to $490 and offered in sizes XXS to 4X. The goal was to create pieces customers would wear repeatedly, rather than one-time releases.

The footwear collection aligns with this approach. Jenner called it “the ultimate, versatile shoe wardrobe,” indicating a focus on a cohesive system rather than individual products.

The three silhouettes are designed to complement each other, spanning everyday wear to statement pieces. The collection launches at khy.com on August 21 at 1 p.m. ET.

The key question is whether initial interest will lead to sustained demand. The silver Muse Thong has already become one of the most searched items since Jenner wore it to the NBA Finals, generating anticipation ahead of the official launch.

The true measure of success will be whether the collection delivers on comfort, material quality, and long-term appeal beyond celebrity influence.

With the launch date confirmed, the designs established, and pricing accessible for Italian-made luxury footwear, the next step is to see whether this collection will become a lasting part of Khy’s portfolio or simply another viral moment.
