The Best Beauty Looks From The 80th Annual Golden Globes

 

The Golden Globes celebrates outstanding names in film and television and has returned in 2023 with some of Hollywood’s brightest stars strutting down the red carpet while anticipating an award. The ceremony which took place on January 10 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in California was graced by the glossiest faces of some of our favorite celebs.

Given that the ‘Golden Globes’ is regarded as being a little more relaxed than the Oscars, many celebrities took advantage by wearing more relaxed, yet still elegant and glamorous looks. In the beauty department, most of the makeup looks and hairstyles will surely be a source of beauty inspiration for a long time.

We are talking about cropped cuts, long extensions, perfectly flushed cheeks, vivid bursts, and other gentle sweeps of color. Here, the beauty looks you can’t afford to miss from the 80th edition of the Golden Globes 2023.

1. Angela Bassett

Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, was a stunner at the event with her lips, cheeks, eyes, and hair, all flawlessly done. Bassett’s deep side part and S-curl waves leaned toward Old Hollywood glitz. She created some drama by combining a bright lip color with a strong blush. Of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the Golden Globe winner who has been killin’ it on the red carpets year in, year out.

About her naturally beautiful makeup-free look, Mary Wiles, a celebrity makeup artist, made things easy. In her words, she said “We wanted to keep the look fresh and pretty and enhance Elizabeth’s beauty. Concentrating on beautiful, prepped skin, a simply defined brow, a little contour to the eyes and cheeks, keeping tones very simple and natural.”

About the look, Stanwell said, “We took a little risk, but I believe it’s good to have fun and try new things by just tweaking a little here and there, we didn’t want it too rigid or set, and I still wanted to work with the haircut we had just done a few weeks ago. I love having the haircut makes a statement, sculpting it around her face and playing with shapes that work.”

Rihanna could not possibly conceal this sculptured, red carpet-worthy hairstyle, even if she did sneak into this year’s Golden Globes ceremony minutes after everyone was seated. In a statement from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line, the brand makeup artist Priscilla Ono stated, “We wanted to create a clean, refreshed beauty look using all rose gold hues as a soft juxtaposition to the dramatic structure of her gown. We kept the eye minimal and mixed different rose gold tones on her lips, cheeks, and body for an all-over sheen.” As per the statement, Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y, Gloss Bomb Cream: Doubletake Lip Duo in Cupcakin’, Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Caramel Cutie, and Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Strawberry Drip were used on the mother-of-one to achieve her perfectly bronzed look.
