Meet The Kenyan First Lady Who Embraces The Cape Trend More Than Most Of Us

There’s no doubt Michelle Obama is the queen of killer style amongst all the first ladies, but taking a peek at some other women in power, you’ll discover other first ladies who are killing it as much as the FLOTUS. On our quest for grown-up style, we recently caught up with Margaret Gakuo kenyatta – the first lady of Kenya. And to us, it was really amazing to become acquainted with her.

But just because you haven’t seen a million paparazzi snaps of Margaret Gakuo or heard rumors that she’s wearing this today or that tomorrow doesn’t mean the fifty-something hasn’t been quietly ruling in the Kenyan style department or embracing the trend-of-the-moment. It turns out that, when the first lady visited Ghana few days ago, it was the cape dress trend she embraced throughout – proving she’s not only a fan of cape dress, but also loves experimenting the trend-of-the-moment. We’re particularly enamored on how she slips into it confidently and effortlessly. Scroll down to see her few images:
