Bella Hadid Celebrates 100 Days Of Serious Medical Treatment For Lyme Disease

Bella Hadid is no stranger when it comes to sharing her health updates. She’s spoken up about how she dealt with depressing mental health issues before and now Hadid is keeping fans updated with her recent treatment for Lyme disease, saying she’s feeling “finally healthy.”

Yesterday Sunday (August 6), the model shared an emotional post about her health status on Instagram, with photos from her hospital beds for which she said the treatment took more than 100 days. Per the Centers for Disease Control, Lyme disease is a vector-borne disease caused by Borrelia bacteria, which is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks.

However, Hadid who’s never shy away from opening up about her health situation revealed she’s had a lifelong experience with the disease in almost “15 years of invisible suffering” but she’s proud for not giving up on herself. The post started with the 26-year-old model dubbing herself as “the little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself🫶🏼”

She then goes on to thank her mother Yolanda Hadid, for standing by her side all through the years while also keeping all the medical records, as she shared some of the photos in the carousel.

“Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain,” Hadid continued in the post. “To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever. one thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, ♥️and 2:I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today.”

As a show of good gesture, the model did not miss to express her gratitude to her dog Glizzy P. Beans, whom she said has always been on her side. A glance at the images in the carousel shows Glizzy P. keeping the model company all the time.

“And God Bless my Angel Glizzy P. Beans aka Petunia aka Beans For never leaving my side not for one second,’ she captioned the post.

Bella Hadid, her younger brother Anwar and their mom, Yolanda were diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. While there may not be any update from the rest of the family members regarding the status of their treatment, it’s good to have the model back.
