Winnie Harlow Opted for a Sheer Tiered Gown at the British Fashion Awards 2023

Winnie Harlow made a dazzling appearance at the British Fashion Awards 2023. The event, held at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London, was attended by A-listers such as Kate Moss, Amal Clooney, and Gwyneth Paltrow. With all eyes on the red carpet, Winnie Harlow stole the show in a sheer lace-tiered gown, displaying her impeccable sense of style.

The sheer lace gown featured intricate tiers with the top section giving off the see-through vibes. This daring choice showcased Winnie’s confidence and willingness to take more fashion risks. The gown was cinched at the waist with a silk band, accentuating her hourglass figure and adding a touch of femininity to the ensemble.

To complement her stunning gown, Winnie opted for minimal accessories. She wore a pair of dangly silver earrings, adding a subtle sparkle to her look. Her dark tresses were styled in a cropped fashion, allowing the gown to take center stage. The simplicity of her accessories and hairstyle allowed the gown to speak for itself.

The British Fashion Awards is an annual event that celebrates the best of the British fashion industry. This year, the event was presented by jewelry brand Pandora and returned to its iconic venue, the Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by British broadcaster Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical, the evening recognized and honored 16 awards, with industry figures such as Valentino Garavani taking home the Outstanding Achievement award, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury was honored with the Special Recognition Award and the late Joe Casely-Hayford with a posthumous special recognition award.

The awards are voted for by an international judging panel consisting of over 1000 industry experts, ensuring that the winners represent the pinnacle of excellence in the fashion industry. The event serves as the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, which supports the future growth and success of the British fashion industry through education, grant-giving, and business mentoring.

In line with the evolving fashion landscape, the British Fashion Council (BFC) reintroduced gender-based design awards for the first time since the pandemic. This decision reflects the industry’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity by acknowledging and celebrating the distinct contributions of both menswear and womenswear designers. The move was welcomed by leading industry figures, highlighting the progressive mindset of the British fashion industry.
