Hermès Just Debuted Its First-Ever Lipsticks Collection

Here’s hoping you haven’t already stocked up your lipstick closet, as the luxury label, Hermès, has just introduced its first-ever beauty products that are enough to take your money.

The lipstick collection title “Rouge Hermès” by the French high fashion house has landed online in order to meet your eco-friendly and beauty needs. The new line features a collection of colorful and wearable lipsticks in 24 distinct hues, pulled from the brand’s depository of 76,000 silk and leather shades.

Ranging from light beiges, poppy-red to electric pink, ten of it are matte lipsticks, while 14 comes in a satin finish. There’s also a Lip Care Balm, Poppy Lip Shine, Universal Lip Pencil, and a Lip Brush in the collection.

“Like a silk scarf gracing a woman’s neck that creates radiance and reveals her beauty, for Hermès Beauty, we wanted to rediscover the emotion of color as a fundamental and feminine trait,” artistic director of the Hermès women’s universe Bali Barret said in a press release. “At Hermès, color is an irrational, intoxicating passion, craftsmanship of nuances, an obsession with striking the right tone, and a language all of its own.”

While the packaging may seem not to be as important as the product inside, at Hermès, the package does, in all honesty, emphasize what’s inside as the brand leverage on refillable and plastic-free tubes. When I think of make-up, I think of materials,” says creative director for Hermès Beauty Jérôme Touron. “When I imagine a shade of lipstick inspired by the color of leather or silk, it is a starting point,” adds Touron. “The material always takes the color in another direction.”
