When Michale Kors has anything to do with his collection, it’s always good to prepare for the best. So you can imagine when the brand is marking its 40th Anniversary. As a New Yorker who usually pays visits to the Theater District to see Broadway shows, it was the time for the designer to honor his favorite spot, and one look at its Fall 2021 show reveals he definitely managed to do just that.
For the show which took place this afternoon, Kors pulled out the big guns, a cast of supermodels to help celebrate the brand’s 4th decades in business. Names on the list include Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid, Shalom Harlow, Ashley Graham, Helena Christensen, Liya Kebede, Karen Elson, Paloma Elsesser, Precious Lee, and Alek Wek.
According to the reports, Shalom Harlow who was prominent in the early 1990s opened the show while Naomi Campbell closed it. As the models were strutting, with marquees lighting up the Shubert Theatre, the Fall 2021 collection featuring sequin dresses and gowns, coats, luxe knits, and more took the center stage. But while we’d love to get into detail on the street runway, it’s kind of something you’d have loved to see for yourself.
