A Glimpse At The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Virtual Show

In the past eight years since the debut of Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda in 2012, fans are used to the glitz and glamor of the intoxicating shows with FOMO-induced ambiance. But for some obvious reasons, this year is different. Rather than taking the show to its usual locations—think Capri, Lake Como, the island of Sicily, or the piazzas of Venice, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana made the most of social media and presented its Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria collections virtually.

Showcased in the house’s glamorous Milanese salon with an empty audience, the 2020 Alta Moda collection is inspired by time and Italian holidays which the brand says it’s a ‘tribute to their “Bella Vita” set. As usual, the Italian fashion house paid attention to the season it’s created for, churning out colorful summer-approved garments ranging from kimonos, chiffon, kaftan dresses printed with souvenirs that ensure to bring back the memory.

“Every piece recalls the Italian way of life,” the brand said in a statement. As a brand known for its accessorizing extravaganza, each look is also enriched with head-turning necklaces and earrings. Ahead, keep scrolling to have a look at a few of the pieces.
