Tiwa Savage Wraps Up in a Leather Jacket For Alexander McQueen SS23 Show In London

She was in Paris two months ago for the Fendi Fall 2022 Haute Couture show and Tiwa Savage returned to the front row at the Alexander McQueen SS23 show in London yesterday.

On Tuesday, the Kering-owned British luxury brand presented its Spring/Summer 2023 collection in a picturesque show space, where guests were seated inside a huge transparent bubble. Savage was among the few famous faces including the editor-in-chief of British Vogue Edward Enninful and Janet Jackson, who took the front row.

For the posh occasion, the Afro-pop singer donned a chic asymmetric red leather jacket from the British brand, which she completed with a pair of ankle booties and accessorized with silver hoops, a super tiny purse, and oversized sunglasses.

The mother-of-one took a few snapshots with some of her fans and then shared them on Instagram with gratitude to Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander Mcqueen. “Thank you Sarah and the @alexandermcqueen team, what an AMAZING show 🥰,” she wrote in the caption.

For the collection, Sarah Burton presented 41 looks, ranging from sexy to statement-making silhouettes with highlights on the black color palette. As per the statement released by the brand, Burton expressed her inspiration with regard to consciousness.

“This collection is about searching for humanity and human connection,” says the brand. “The eye is a symbol of that humanity, a register of emotion, an expression of uniqueness. Our clothes are designed to empower. They are stripped back, dissected and focused on cut, drape and silhouette. We also looked at the work of Hieronymus Bosch, at once dark and beautiful.
