Nike Is Bringing Back The Sneakers That Was Popular When You Were In The Womb

For those of us who never had the opportunity to wear the Nike Sock Racer when it was the biggest hit back in the ’80s, you’re in luck. The brand just resurrected the hero footwear from its 1986 archives for its latest sneaker launch. Set to be available for shopping from 27th April, the classic kicks will retail for $130 and $140.

AIR SOCK RACER ULTRA FLYKNIT — $140.00

“Born in 1986, the Sock Racer was seen as out of this world by many,” Nike explains in the product description. “No laces, just a sock-like upper that kept your foot in place thanks to a lightweight buckle system. The design would pave the way for several staple styles in the world of running and now returns in a modern fashion fit for everyday wear.”

The brand has said it all. If you’re keen to add some 80’s feel to your athleisure look, 27th April is a few days from now — bookmark this page for the D-day.
