The Unexpectedly Cool Way Lupita Nyong’o Wears The Peplum Trend

As reported, Lupita Nyong’o usually opts for classic glamour on the red carpet. But during Star Wars: The Force Awakens film premiere in London on Wednesday, the Oscar winner took her flair for fashion to next-level, looking out of this world.

For those of us who aren’t as into the peplum trend, conisder Lupita Nyong’o’s cool and futuristic feel alternative. The actress wore a long-sleeved peplum creation from Proenza Schouler’s spring/summer 2016 collection, that featured a diaphanous beaded and fringed skirt with some classic strappy sandals at the Star Wars premiere in London, proving that the peplum trend is still going strong for SS16 and a blue lipstick can only take things to the next level. We’re not surprised by her classic red carpet look though, because from the onset, the Kenyan beauty has been winning our hearts with her cool taste and she’s not planning to let us down come rain come shine.

Another actress that took the spotlight was Stars Wars newcomer Daisy Ridley who wore a gown by Roland Mouret. Daisey looked extremely gorgeous in the wonderful ensemble, like she was styled by the angles. We love everything about her look – from the gathered organza skirt paired with the sexy cut outs and embellished bodice to her makeup and hairstyle – she’s a red carpet perfection.
