Ivorian Girl Laetitia Ky Who Creates Sculptural Hairstyles Is Now Marc Jacobs’ New Muse

Laetitia Ky was just a 20-year-old girl with big dreams when we first noticed her on Instagram in 2017. She was aspired to become a fashion designer and at that time (read here), she creates sculptural objects with her hair and could easily transform her hair with the addition of extensions, or whatever into an unthinkable figure. Social media users were always inspired by her level of creativity, precision, and ability to manipulate hair into sculptures.

It’s no wonder why she was invited to Nigeria by singer Dija to put her fingers at work with Ankara-wax-inspired-braids and the result was mind-blowing. However, in-between her incredible talent, Laetitia’s career is blossoming and we are a firm believer the 23-year-old is very close to achieving her dreams. This is because Marc Jacobs has just enlisted the Ivorian girl to model a line of its bag collection and who knows she might just be chosen to create a capsule collection for the American fashion house.

In the campaign, Laetitia posed in a series of snaps for Marc Jacobs. We don’t know how she does it but in the images, you could see a pure display of art, one which she even created with MJ letters atop her head. According to her, the brand gave her the complete freedom to create the three images in her own way.

“Creating those images for @marcjacobs was a pure time of joy,” Laetitia captioned the images. “Inspiration will be always at its max when you love the product you promote! I am in love with all my new bags and #thetotebag is my new favorite ! 😊😊😊 #marcjacobs.”

In an interview with Bazaar, the 23-year-old revealed that the collaboration with MJ came after she was scouted by Elite Model World having won the Global Elite Model Look contest on the digital front. She also added that she has countless creativity in her head, she wants to focus on her modeling career first.
