The relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez has reached the final end. According to Page Six and TMZ reports, the pair have broken up and calling off their two-year-long engagement. This comes after they celebrated the two-year anniversary of their engagement and 4 years of being together recently.
Although it is unclear what might lead to their split, TMZ reported that JLo and A-Rod called it quit on Friday after the former New York Yankees star was rumored to be rubbing shoulders with a “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy, while the superstar singer was far away in the Dominican Republic filming her latest movie “Shotgun Wedding.” Page Six also confirmed the news by adding that A-Rod was apart in Miami spending his time alone.
“He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic,” a source revealed to Page Six.
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old posted a picture on Instagram just yesterday which appears to give a subtle hint at their separation. “Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie… What are your plans for the weekend?” the former baseball star captioned the post while posing alone in a yatch.

JLo, also, on the other hand, shared a cryptic post with the caption: “Find a good reason to laugh today.”

The pair had planned a lavish Italian wedding in summer last year but the destination nuptial was eventually cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although they were one of the Hollywood’s biggest power couples out there, the news of their split comes as no big surprise. In fact, during an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in December last year, Lopez who was previously married revealed she’s reconsidering getting married again.
“We’ve talked about that for sure. I mean, at our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?” Lopez said during the interview. “It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all. So in March or April, we’re looking down the pipe and we’re going, ‘This is maybe not going to happen.’ Italy’s the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy. It was, yeah, it was like, I was like, ‘OK, we got to cancel everything.’”
