As a woman, we seem to push the confines of the fashion all the time. Shoes are not worn for comfort (hello, super high-heel?), our last penny is saved for a designer item, and we could go all out to look trendy. Well, our unexpected approach to fashion is arguably intentional sometimes and if you look closely, though, some of us can relate to it. Here, keep reading for the 12 things we do for the sake of fashion.
1. Wearing Uncomfortable Shoes
Those sky-high heels look amazing and you look amazing in them, but in all honesty, they are not comfortable to wear for hours – especially when standing is involved.

2. Squeezing into the Shapewear:
Admittedly, shapewear has become less restrictive over the last decade. But for years women squeezed themselves into uncomfortable undergarments supported by wires and straps that molded them into shapes meant for clothing to drape nicely over.

3. Sequined Clothing
We’re seeing more metallics and sparkly looks on the red carpets and runways these days. Stunning looks, of course. But the contact irritation and tiny scratches on your skin sure hurt!

4. Strapless Bras
There is nothing that ruins a great outfit like a peekaboo bra, and sometimes a strapless bra must be worn. But the discomfort of wires digging into your ribs is worth it to show off those beautiful shoulders!

Bold statement earrings are very on-trend right now. Unfortunately, they may lead to stretched-out ear lobes and some women may even have to have reconstructive surgery later in life.
