Meet The Couture Dress Made of Hundreds of Glass Bubbles

Any fashion enthusiast who keep up with fashion week can attest to the fact that Haute Couture Week is a time where designers outdo themselves, crafting hand-worked, out of the box collections. So, when we caught wind of designer Iris van Herpen, who is known for experimenting with modern techniques like 3-D printing, we were intrigued. And, when we saw her fall 2016 couture collection which was presented in Paris on Sunday, we had no option than to share to inspire other designers.

Iris Herpen’s fall 2016 couture collection is nothing short of breathtaking. Amongst the pieces in the collection, the designer created 3 dresses that you might want to applaud for the level of creativity: a dress appeared made of coated hand-blown glass spheres with silicone as fabric, a naked dress created by the use of swarovski crystals in silicone and a wire-framed dress that was inspired by sound waves. As Elle pointed out, Harpen nicely proved that she hasn’t lost any of her construction curiosity. And we can see it in the collection! Keep scrolling to check them out:
