In recent years, the social media has exposed us to ostentatious lifestyle of celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry; internet users regularly skimmed through the pages of social media platform and blogs to get updated with the latest celebrity news. Pragmatically, a huge percent of this news are fictitious, giving the readers the illusion of ‘I must be a celebrity’.

In a continued effort to show the truth about the Nigerian entertainment industry, here are 10 thing we no longer want to see our celebrities doing.‬

Showing Off Stack of Dollars:‬

‪Showing off money on the social media should be considered as a juvenile behaviour. In 2013, we have recorded numbers of Nigerian celebs showing off stacks of dollars and this is becoming unbearable. For example the P-Square, Jude Okoye, Davido, Iyanya, and many others has done this before via the social media. We are quite aware that they’re are rich; but at the same time flaunting those stacks of fake dollars would give the youth the illusion that being a music producer or a recording artist is the fastest and sharpest way to wealth without considering the behind the scene hard work involve (This could be the reason why most of our music are crappy). The REAL rich men don’t go on the internet to flaunt their money….they lay low while life goes on. We don’t want to see this any longer.‬
