With the record of globe-trotting his Cruise runway shows, Karl Lagerfeld has never disappointed before. This time around it wasn’t Rome, Cuba, or Dubai, but the German fashion designer honored the brand’s home, staging his ready-to-wear show in The Grand Palais — a large historic site in Paris which was given a beautiful ancient makeover as it was inspired by Ancient Greece.
Thanks to a heads up from Harper’s Bazaar, we learned that the Chanel’s Cruise 2018 Collection is titled “The Modernity of Antiquity,” and was inspired by Greece. It features “looks with draping, one-shouldered silhouettes, gold accents and adorned headbands that elicited the ultimate Grecian goddess vibes.”
But the one that really caught our eye is Lagerfeld’s latest footwear offering. There is a range of colorful knee-high gladiator heels so charming that you might want to hurt your wallet.
And the color ranges from yellow to blue, red and black.
