7 Reasons Why Ghana’s Second Lady Samira Bawumia Is A Fashion Force

When we first saw the pictures of Samira Bawumia on Ghana’s 60th independence day celebration, our jaws nearly fell to the ground. Why? Not because we saw a monster, but a beautifully well-packaged, light-skin woman who was armed with style (left, right, and back and front) with enough glamour. On that day, Samira wore a gorgeous form-fitting dress adorned with colorful kente fabric, which she completed with chic accessories. But we weren’t very convinced about her style, so we did a little Goggle digging and all of a sudden, we discovered the Second-Lady wasn’t just playing dress-up for the big day but something we describe as her lifestyle.

Samira Bawumia is not an average Second-Lady Ghanaians has had. Unlike many Muslim women, she seems to possess a certain thing that makes her so chic. Though it is difficult to pinpoint, but the little time we know her, she has mastered understated elegance, effortless style, and the art of mixing colors. It is through her that we know a Muslim woman can make an headwrap look chic which makes her a fashion inspiration for not only the Islamic community but us Christians, too. Which is why we come up with the reasons why Mrs. Samira Bawumia is a fashion icon to be on your radar. Keep reading by clicking through the gallery.

Her fashion streak started far back during the election campaign. Samira wore a pair of red pants and a white tee, topped with a red headwrap.
