EMY Africa (a.k.a Exclusive Men of the Year) Awards is an annual event that celebrates the distinguished African men Ghana, but whether it was the men’s biggest night, Nana Akua Addo actually went to lead the fashion pack. The actress looked like something straight out of a fairy tale thanks to her stylist, who dressed Nana in this gorgeous black Cinderella gown by a Ghana-based womenswear label, YARTEL.
Crafted with crystal embellishments, the shoulder-baring gown featured a fitted bodice that flares out from the waist into a voluminous floor-grazing bottom, creating a Cinderella worthy look. Anyone who keeps up with the actress knows that she’s no stranger when it comes to making a show-stopping entrance. On top of that, the look featured dramatic sleeves and revealing neckline for maximum impact.
Keeping up with the gothic theme, Nana threw on a black veil with a matching tiara and earrings in a dark shade. She also played along with her beauty game, wrapping things up with black eyeshadow, lips, and mascara. And there is no doubt that the effort was worth it as she completely stole the show.

Prior to the awards which took place last night, the Ghanaian glamazon gave fans a clue of the beautiful garment when she posted a video where she and the members of her team checked into a hotel carrying the dress in a clear bag. “DRESS REHEARSAL EMY AFRICA AWARDS TOMORROW. @emyafrica,” she wrote.
She nailed it. And of course, model Victoria Michaels who also attended the event showed up draped in gold and black (a long dress, a pile of bangles, strappy heels, matching blink-blink nose mask, and long parka coat).
