The first Monday in May as usual, the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York experienced a sudden influx of the world’s biggest celebrities as the likes of Blake Lively, Sarah Jessica Parker, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Cardi B, Naomi Campbell and a lot more others showed up in their over-the-top looks, in accordance of 2022 Met Gala theme: “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”
As an ode to the era of ‘Gilded Age’ (a.k.a Gilded glamour), ‘a period of flashy materialism and overt political corruption in the United States during the 1870s,’ the theme was properly interpreted with celebrities embracing grandeur and opulence at the highest stakes.
