Bella Hadid has been candid about her life struggles lately. From opening up about her mental health struggles to revealing the depression that surrounds it, the supermodel is all about honesty. She’s however the cover star of Vogue April 2022 Issue and Hadid got even more candid about plastic surgery in the accompanying interview with the magazine.
Posing in a series of snapshots for the cover spread, the 25-year-old confirmed that she did have a nose job at the age of 14 but wishes it was otherwise. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she said. “I think I would have grown into it.”
With several accusations by fans about the model having numerous plastic surgery, Hadid also used the opportunity to shut down the speculations. As per the model, she never used a filler before. “People think I fully f*cked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” the model said. “I’m pretty sure you don’t look the same now as you did at 13, right? I have never used filler. Let’s just put an end to that. I have no issue with it, but it’s not for me.”
This isn’t the first time the model has to address the rumors surrounding plastic surgery and having experienced feelings of imposter syndrome, she said, “People made me feel like I didn’t deserve any of this. People always have something to say, but what I have to say is, I’ve always been misunderstood in my industry and by the people around me.”
She further reflected on her mental health issues, adding that she’s making the most of her self-care practices to stay afloat. “Everything that I do in my personal life is literally to make sure that my mental state stays above water. Fashion can make you or break you. And if it makes you, you have to make a conscious effort every day for it not to break you.”
