Since Solange Knowles is always known to be rocking “look at me” hairstyles, it makes sense that she would come up with unthinkable braids hairstyle someday. Yesterday, during Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s show at New York Fashion Week, Solange gave a scintillating performance in the chicest way possible — by debuting a dramatic blonde hair. It has been a fashion week full of hair transformation; remember Kim Kardashian also debuted silvery blonde tresses last week but there are some obvious elements of uniqueness in the singer’s version.
It’s micro/macro braided and decorated with cowries to jazz things up. And as if that wasn’t enough, the hair was followed up with a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and massive hoop earrings for a bountiful dose of drama. It goes without saying that having been a spotted sparingly a few months ago, cowried decorated braids are gradually making a comeback and here’s is Solange taking the trend to a whole new level.
