Since her presentation at her graduation show at Central Saint Martins in 2017, Mowalola Ogunlesi has climbed to heights matched by only a few of her contemporaries. Her eponymous Nigerian label has dressed a variety of personalities including Barbie on her 60th anniversary, Steve Lacy, Drake, Kanye West, and Skepta. The newly appointed Yeezy Gap Design Director constantly works around discourse about Nigerian sexuality and makes designs influenced by music, sensitivity to color, and appreciation for photography.
