The House of Deola Sagoe is one of the topmost creators of haute couture fashion with an African perspective to it. Since having to help her mother with her eponymous fashion label, Deola has continued to bring traditional designs into a contemporary state for the ever-evolving fashion marketplace.
She loves the dynamism of creating modern fashion out of something steeped in history and that gives her collection a cultural tone. Just October last year, Dr. Nneka Abulokwe wore her Iro and Buba design to receive the covetable OBE award from HM Queen Elizabeth II in London. The Nigerian fashian brand has also had the opportunity of working with a slew of international clientele including the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, and others.
