After months of broadcasting, reporting, preparation, networking and serious instagramming, Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week officially kicked off on wednesday, and quite like we expected, there was unapologetic delays (Nigerian time, if you know what that means) before the runway show finally took off. But if the runway could talk, you’d probably hear it exhilarate when leggy models started strutting their pins in the captivating collections.
With prestigious and chic brands like Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Sisiano, Onalaja, Amede, Wanger Agu and more, the night was well spent, after all. There were floral appliques, oversized and exaggerated sleeves, heavy fringes, while ruffles were lavishly sprinkled on a great number of collections. In reality, the pieces did not fail to make everyone smile, and when it comes to the color palette, neutrals obviously took the center stage.
