The rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are going their separate ways are nothing but real. According to multiple news outlets, Kim Kardashian has officially filed for divorce from husband Kanye West after six years of marriage. This comes after rumors about the couple’s separation started flying around social media in January.
TMZ reports that Kim Kardashian filed for a divorce through her lawyer Laura Wasser, describing the separation as “amicable.” This means that both Kim and Kanye have agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their four children together, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. There is also a prenuptial agreement prepared as per TMZ report, neither Kim nor Kanye is contesting it.
Although the couple has yet to publicly acknowledge or make a statement regarding the end of their marriage, a source previously told E! News that Kim had known her marriage was over for some time. It was also reported that both Kim and Kanye spent their last Christmas holiday separately “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” a source told E! in January. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
However, as People reported this week, Kanye isn’t happy about his marriage to Kardashian coming to an end but there’s a little hope of reconciliation as he does believe in miracles. “He is anxious and very sad,” a source told People. “He knows that the marriage is over, and there’s nothing that can be done right now. He also knows what he is losing in Kim. There is very little hope of reconciliation. It would have to be a miracle. But Kanye does believe in miracles.”
