We don’t see age as a deterrant to some of our fashion decisions, but as the case may be sartorial length may vary depending on how we perceive or see it. To us, we really don’t care what you wear – if it makes you to feel good, just wear it, But that shouldn’t stop us of some sartorial offences, your age should tell how far you can go with short hemlines, and as WhoWhatWear puts it, skirt lengths may vary over time.
1. Everything Goes – 20s -30s
“In your 20s and 30s, anything goes—long, short, mini, maxi—whatever you want to call it, it all looks great. It’s a fantastic time to try new looks and see what works best for you. Just remember, it’s always better to have more skirt than less skirt. I see a lot of women in their 20s and 30s in very short skirts but love seeing a girl in her 20s in a pencil skirt below the knee, because it seems more cool and unpredictable.” — Orlee Winer

2. Go Right Above The Knee
“In your 40s and 50s, it’s compelling to stick with pencil skirts and skirts below the knee. While these are great styles, I love seeing women in a skirt just above the knee with the right shoe. (That changes everything.) One of my favorite looks is an A-line skirt just above the knee and a beautiful flat shoe. It’s a look with a lot of personality and has just the right balance.” — Orlee Winer

3. Stick To Just Below The Knee
“In your 60s, the best hemlines are just below or to the knee—think pencil skirts, A-line skirts, circle skirts, and pleated skirts. While you’d think long maxi skirts would be appropriate, I don’t love them on women over 60, because I think they actually look a bit dowdy.” — Orlee Winer
