Nomzamo Mbatha Is Launching A Collection With PUMA

Mark your calendars for March 12 because Nomzamo Mbatha (a.k.a Mirembe) and PUMA have big news. Having been the brand ambassador for PUMA South Africa, the South African and actress and Coming 2 America star is expanding her relationship with the sportswear giant and will launch a capsule collection entitled “THE ‘SHANDU’ COLLECTION”. The collaboration will cement Nomzamo Mbatha in the history book as the first African woman to ever release a collection with such a global brand.

To break the exciting news before the collaboration is released, Mbatha released the campaign video as she models a few pieces from the new range featuring jacket, tie-waist jumpsuit, baseball cap, bucket hat, white sneakers, platform sandals in a hue of pink.

“Who knew a girl from KwaMashu would be THE FIRST African woman to partner with a GLOBAL brand such as @puma & @pumasouthafrica to RELEASE a first of its kind!” the actress captioned the video. “Introducing, THE ‘SHANDU’ COLLECTION. @puma @pumasouthafrica @pumawomen THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME AND BUILDING WITH ME… LET’S GO 🗣🗣💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 #PUMAxNomzamo #SheMovesUs.”

Puma South Africa also shared the same video on its official IG page with the caption: “SHANDU is an ode to family and community. Introducing PUMA x Nomzamo SHANDU Collection. Available 12.03.2021 #SheMovesUs #PUMAxNomzamo.”

The ‘SHANDU’ Collection drops tomorrow March 12 and will be available in Puma’s select stores in South Africa and the brand’s website. Check back for more updates.

Meanwhile, Nomzmo Mbatha started her journey with PUMA in 2016 during the brand’s “Do You” campaign along with other women to inspire confidence in women across the continent. “I think we are definitely living in a time where women are taking back their identity,” the actress said in a statement when she was announced as the local ambassador. “We’re taking back the narrative of feminism and we’re saying, ‘I’m going to do me.’ The only way to ‘DO YOU’ is to be you.”
