It was reported that Lupita Nyong’o’s famous custom Calvin Klein Oscars dress was stolen on Wednesday straight from her hotel room at the London West Hollywood while she was out.
Since then cops has been searching for the amazing gown made of 6,000 Akoya pearls, that is valued at a whopping $150,000.
According to TMZ report, the dress was returned to the London West Hollywood Friday afternoon. The thief called TMZ to tell them where he dropped off the garment. According to the thief, he sneak inside Lupita’s hotel room to steal the dress because the door was not properly closed.
He said he and his team took two pearls off of the dress and tried to sell them in L.A’s garment district but they were told the pearls were worthless….FAKE.
The thief told us he returned the bag and called us because he wanted the world to know “Hollywood’s fake bulls**t.”
Meanwhile, TMZ released the info to L.A’s law enforcement, and according to the outlet, the dress has been retrieved.
