Funke Adepoju’s Phunk Afrique Ready-To-Wear SS15 Collection

Phunk Afrique fashion label now Funke Adepoju is taking her SS15 collection to a different direction with the newly rebranded name. After appearing during the 2014 Lagos Fashion Design Week, the fashion house feel is ideal to upgrade their brand starting with the name. 

 Funke Adepoju reveals “The brand has stepped into the realm of more luxurious and sophisticated fabrics, to mature cuts and aesthetics and overall, more intricate detailing.”

Funke Adepoju’s SS15 Collection which is her first collection titled Fifth Avenue features wearable pieces with flattering silhouettes. According to the creative director, Funke Adepoju, her collection is all about the inspiration she got from her New York trip.

 “Everyone has a New York story – that city that takes you in and makes you see things through a clearer lens and allows you to exist in your most creative element. You find inspirations everywhere – the subway, waiting to flag a yellow taxi, in line to buy a snack. It’s such a vibrant place that fills you up with so much excitement.” – Said Funke.
