Stephanie Linus Partners With UN Women For Fight Against Women Trafficking

 

Nollywood icon, Stephanie Linus has partnered with UN Women under the project on Preventing Forced Migration and Trafficking in Women and Girls in Nigeria. The project is funded by the Italian Government, the actress will henceforth advocate for the fight against women and girls trafficking. 

Taking to Instagram today (December 16) to announce her new partnership, the multiple award winner shared the campaign video with a compelling Public Service Announcement (PSA) on human trafficking titled “You Wan Travel Abroad?”

The video spotlights how girls are lured into sexual exploitation in disguise of traveling abroad for a greener pasture. “In partnership with @unwomenng. Please watch this Video and share. Someone really needs to see it,” the post captioned.

The UN Women, however, is an entity of the United Nations that shines its focus on gender equality and the empowerment of women, as well as violence against women, etc.
