Take it or Leave it, Chloe and Halle Bailey are the Most Stylish Sisters
The Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards 2024 dazzled in Los Angeles, boasting a constellation of stunning African-American celebrities. From Danielle Brooks to Zendaya, the red carpet was ablaze with star power.
However, it was the dynamic sister duo, Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey, who stole the spotlight. While Halle opted for timeless elegance in a cascading gown, Chloe showcased her edgy style in a coordinating set. Both looks featured a lot of cutouts, uniting their individual styles.

A daring cutout over her chest, framed by a high neckline and overlaid with another panel, exuded confidence. She paired the ensemble with white trousers, accessorized with silver-toned rings, bangles, and hoop earrings. Complementing her look with a nude-toned matte makeup and asymmetrical braids, the “FYS” singer epitomized chic sophistication on the red carpet.

The ensemble flowed into pleats, elegantly cascading beyond her ankles. She wore her hair in a high ponytail and embraced a matte makeup look just like her sister.

As one of the four honorees at the event, celebrated for the accomplishments of young black women in film and television, The Little Mermaid star joined Danielle Brooks, Kathryn Busby, and Nkechi Okoro Carroll in receiving recognition. Her sister presented her well-deserved accolade with an emotional speech.
The singer’s pride for her younger sister was palpable, evident in both their teary-eyed struggle to contain emotions, highlighting a poignant and heartfelt moment at the event.

“We are Black women in entertainment, and although we signed up for the challenges of the spotlight, in this current climate, that spotlight burns brighter, hotter, and uninterrupted, whereas the scrutiny of its magnification leaves no concealment,” she began.
“I’ve learned from that spotlight over the past eight years. I’ve also, if I’m being honest, been burned by it, too, as we all have,” the awardee added, referencing the racist backlash she faced when it was announced she had been cast as Princess Ariel in The Little Mermaid live-action remake, released last year.
The role changed her life, she said, but, “it cannot compare to the biggest joy of my life, And that was becoming a mom to my perfect little angel Halo.”
Concluding her speech, the “Angel” crooner expressed gratitude for the support of her family and the opportunity to inspire inclusion in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the importance of embracing diversity and standing against discrimination.
