Beyonce Wore 3 Gowns As She Becomes The Most-Awarded Artist in Grammys History

Beyonce has made history as the most-awarded artist in the history of Grammys.

And just in case you didn’t know, she’s also a mum of three, an international superstar, one of the most talented singers, and an accomplished businesswoman… not forgetting Beyonce’s style credentials, of course!

At the 65th annual Grammy Awards that took place last night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the original Queen Bey broke the all-time record (which was previously held by the late orchestral conductor Sir Georg Solti) after winning the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Immediately after her name was announced, the 41-year-old gave thanks to God for such a historic moment during her acceptance speech. “I’m trying not to get too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night,” she said during her emotional speech. “I want to thank God for protecting me. Thank you God. I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit.”

The music superstar didn’t just stop there. She went on to also thank her uncle (who, according to a report died of complications from AIDS) while acknowledging the queer community that partly influenced her seventh studio album. “I want to thank the queer community for their love and for inventing this genre,” she added. “Thank you so much to the Grammys.”

Recall that in the Rennaisance album’s liner notes, Bey had recognized uncle Johnny along with her kids, and husband Jay-Z, where she wrote, “He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album.” She also mentioned Jonny in the track “Heated,” where she raps, “Uncle Jonny made my dress.”

Meanwhile, the seventh album Renaissance was nominated 9 times for the 2023 Grammys, and she snagged the awards for Best R&B Song as well as Best Dance/Electronic Recording from the glamorous evening. For the night, Beyonce made 3 outfit changes, wearing a peachy cream super slit velvet gown that features an unexpecting neckline and a deep V-cut with a metallic gold bustier underneath.

It also came complete with matching opera-length gloves and velvet leggings that she used a pair of wedge heels to elevate her height. She finished the look with a golden hat — somewhat of a flat disc, along with eyewear and earrings befitting someone like Queen Bey. She took to her Instagram to share the look with millions of her followers while dedicating all her wins to the Beyhive community.

“We won 3 y’all!” the post captioned. “To my Hive, thank y’all so much for all of your love and loyalty! Big thank you for the BREAK MY SOUL and CUFF IT wins!!!”

For a portrait photo with her husband, the singer switched to an all-black look, making it her third and last outfit of the night. The stunning strapless velvet number was created to hug the Queen in all the right places as she matched it with velvet black opera gloves.

History has been made and our congratulations are in order!
