Every Breathtaking Fashion Moment From Netflix’s “Queen Charlotte” African Premiere

 

South Africa’s legislative city, Cape Town, was awash with pure and unadulterated fashion moments yesterday evening (Sunday, April 16), as a host of Nollywood stars and their South African counterparts graced the city for the African premiere of Netflix’s “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”

In keeping up with the true Bridgeton dress code, everyone in their own right pulled all the stops for bold proclamations of “Queen Charlotte,” sartorially. In attendance included Sharon Ooja, Lilian Afegba, Bimbo Ademoye, Nancy Isime, Kunle Remi, Erica Nlewedim, Priscilla Ojo, Blue Mbombo, Minnie Dlamini, and more. With dramatic bubble shoulders, Lilian Afegbai wears a dress inspired by Bridgerton’s Lady Whistledown played by Penelope Featherington (Claudia Jessie) in Netflix’s fiction-romance streaming television series created by Chris Van Dusen.

Erica Nlewedim

Erica wears a feathered by Unlabeled by Ophir.

Priscilla Ojo

For the IRL Princess moment, Priscilla channeled her inner princess in a look created by XBL for the “Queen Charlotte: A Brigerton Story” premiere in Cape Town.

Sharon Ooja

Designed by Sheye Oladejo, Sharon Ooja was a princess of her own right in a pink number designed with a sheer bodice, a ’50s-inspired cropped jacket, and a floral embellishment.

Regal was the pseudonym of Mercy Eke who completely embraced the theme, wearing a breathtaking look by Kud Collections.

Blue Mbombo

South African model Blue Mbombo wears beads embellished pink dress by Scalo, complete with a matching crown.

For South Africa’s TV presenter Minnie Dlamini, she chose a corseted bodice and tulle skirt by Asanda Madyibi.
