We are all about adding some drama to our wardrobe, especially when it comes to African prints and who better to inspire us than Omotola Jalade who stepped for the “Heirs Of Afrika” event in Los Angeles, California.
Photographed on the grey carpet on Sunday, July 31st, the Nollywood veteran looked pretty in an Ankara dress by Anit Cuts, a Nigerian US-based designer. The vibrant 2-piece featured a fitted bodice with a cleavage-baring neckline and dramatic bell-sleeves, which the superstar teamed with a floor-length skirt with a thigh-high slit. She however styled the look with bow-heeled sandals in a coordinating hue of green.
The actress is now based abroad. According to multiple reports, she relocated to the States in 2021 and has been eyeing breaking into Hollywood. And since her relocation, the 44-year-old has been making several red carpet appearances. Back in June, she attended the BET International Nominee Welcome Party in Los Angeles, where she sported a little black dress, a matching fur shawl, and her short haircut.

However, the Heirs Of Afrika is an event that bridges the gap between Africa and its Heirs in the Diaspora. It was the 5th Annual International Women of Power Awards on Sunday, where outstanding African women were celebrated for their crafts.
