The 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCAs) is already upon us. On Saturday, May 20, Nollywood celebrities and their African counterparts will descend on the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria, for Africa’s biggest night of fashion and entertainment.
Ahead of the event, Nigerian actresses and actors stepped out last night for the AMVCAs 2023 cultural day celebrations, and leading the glamor is none other than Ini Dima-Okojie.
In keeping up with the theme, the “Blood Sisters” actress paid tribute to the Fulani culture in Northern Nigeria, opting for a 2-piece white look that ticked all the right boxes. Dima-Okojie wore a cropped blouse featuring a squared neckline, and puffy sleeves, while finished off with vibrant traditional-inspired embellishments. She coordinated a gorgeous piece with an itty-bitty mini-skirt and a head tie.
To accessorize the cultural attire, the Nollywood star secured her neck with an elegant bead necklace in multi-colors, matching dangling earrings, as well as waist beads to add some interest to her hard-earned flat tummy. When it comes to beauty, the Edo-born actress went for maximum glamor with a crimson red and had her face with white dotted henna designs a la a true Fulani woman.
The ceremony was also attended by names like Sharon Ooja, Mercy Aigbe, and more, but Ini Dima-Okojie really caught our attention in her traditional garbs.
Meanwhile, the actress was nominated in the “Best Actress in a Drama” category for her role “Flawsome” for this year’s AMVCAs. As viewers; choice awards, Ini Dima-Okojie will be competing with names like Bimbo Ademoye, Enado Odigie, Immaculata Oko Kasum, Nimo Loveline, Ini Edo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Osas Ighodaro, Queen Nwokoye, and Scarlet Gomez, who were nominated in same category, to snag up the coveted trophy (See the Full List of the Nomination here).
