The 2024 Grammy Awards were an iconic night in music history, where women reigned supreme and made a lasting impact.

The 2024 GRAMMYs, held on Sunday, Feb. 4, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, proved to be a fierce competition in the music industry. The nominations featured big names, both men and women, whose artistic contributions provide us with daily entertainment. Dubbed “music’s biggest night” by the Recording Academy, the 66th Grammy Awards will always be etched in memory as a special one for women in music.

The night celebrated significant victories for several talented female artists. Taylor Swift’s album “Midnights” particularly clinched the prestigious Album of the Year award. Also, Tyla’s viral music hit, “Water,” earned the inaugural Best African Music Performance award, a remarkable milestone for women in this unique category. In what will be described as a good one for women in the music industry, other major accolades were bestowed upon Eilish, SZA, Victoria Monét, Boygenius, and Miley Cyrus.

When women win important awards, it’s always a special moment, showing that people appreciate their talent and hard work. And, it’s not just about one person winning – it’s like a step forward for all women. These wins encourage others and make a good impact by breaking down barriers and promoting quality in the music industry. It’s not just about getting a trophy; it’s about making a real difference and proving that women can do great things and be celebrated in a big way.

All through last year, Taylor Swift had a huge impact on pop culture, so it was obvious she was gonna get Grammy-ed up this year. But it’s not just about the award – Swift has been showing off some amazing outfits lately, from her various tours to the 2024 Grammys red carpet!

At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, she wore a stunning black-and-white dress by Schiaparelli, with a slit that goes so high. She paired it with black gloves and cool accessories. Swift’s watch-turned-choker seemed to say it was midnight, maybe hinting at when her latest album was released.

She wore a ton of diamonds, totaling 300 carats, including a necklace with six chains, matching her sixth album, and the black-and-white theme connects with her first album’s cover. Her hair looked great, all wavy and to the side, and she finished the look with bold red lipstick.

The “Flowers” singer, Miley Cyrus, had a fantastic night at the Grammys. She won the best pop solo performance for “Flowers” which topped the charts, claiming the Number One spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and holding it for an impressive eight weeks.

Cyrus made her red carpet entrance in a nearly naked gold metal mesh dress adorned with safety pin details, complemented by matching metal panties and golden heels from Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela.

Later, as she went into the show, to receive her first-ever Grammy Award, she flaunted a stylish beaded and embroidered black halterneck jumpsuit designed by Tom Ford. Throughout the night, her hair was styled in bold voluminous old Hollywood waves. She truly came to conquer at the 2024 Grammys.

Coco Jones clinched the Grammy for the top R&B performance and was also a nominee in four other categories. She was in the running for Best R&B Album with her EP “What I Didn’t Tell You,” Best R&B Song for her hit single “ICU,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for her collaboration with Babyface on “Simple,” and was nominated for Best New Artist.

Topping off her achievements, she looked absolutely stunning in a shimmering gown by Celia Kritharioti. The see-through baby blue dress had a deep V-neck, showcasing her Swarovski x SKIMS body chain. With a chic updo and simple yet radiant makeup, she truly shone on the red carpet.

Tyla

Africans celebrated a significant moment as Tyla, a South African singer and songwriter, won her first Grammy Award in the inaugural category dedicated to African artists. Her triumph came in the Best African Music Performance category for the song “Water.”

At 22, Tyla not only won her first Grammy but also showcased a Y2K-inspired style that perfectly complemented the cultural zeitgeist. Dressed in a stunning pistachio-colored, one-shoulder gown adorned with Swarovski crystals from head to toe, Tyla elevated her usual penchant for cutouts and bodycon dresses. The outfit, featuring netted crystals on her arm and leg and white Rene Caovilla sandals, exuded glamour and received acclaim as a best-dressed-worthy look by Cosmopolitan.

Not only did she rock the 2024 Grammy’s red carpet in a stunning, sleeveless bronze gown, but Monét also walked alongside her daughter Hazel (who’s also a Grammy nominee) and her boyfriend John Gaines.

The Jaguar II singer was nominated for seven awards, including Best New Artist at the Grammys. Although she didn’t win in the Best Traditional R&B Performance category, where her two-year-old daughter Hazel had a shot at becoming the youngest-ever Grammy winner, Monét snagged the victory in the coveted Best New Artist category.

Boygenius

With a big win at the 2024 Grammys with their debut album, “The Record,” grabbing the Best Alternative Music Album award, the supergroup didn’t disappoint at the Grammys.

Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus, the trio of singer-songwriters, showcased their style in matching crisp ivory-white suits with an oily moiré pattern by Thom Browne. Each wore collared button-downs, black ties, and glossy black dress shoes. Sporting pink carnations and red buttons on their lapels, the buttons symbolized their support for Artists4Ceasefire, a coalition advocating for a permanent ceasefire in the Israeli–Palestinian war.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish gave a major nod to Barbie at the 2024 Grammys, and Margot Robbie had some competition. She initially rocked a stylish ensemble from Willy Chavarria, featuring a fabulous Barbie jacket.

Billie, who already won a “Song of the Year” Grammy for her Barbie track “What Was I Made For?” with her brother Finneas, performed in an outfit inspired by the 1965 Poodle Parade Barbie.

Her second look included a chic long jacket with a green tartan pattern and pink lining, paired with a lime-green midi A-line dress over a bright pink turtleneck sweater. Billie added a touch of glamour with a shiny pink headscarf, glossy black pumps, and stylish black cat-eye sunglasses. The homage to Barbie was nothing short of sensational.
