Position: Editor at FashionPoliceNg.com
Job Description: Fashion Police Nigeria is currently seeking a full-time Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of celebrity fashion trends, runway trends, and fashion brands, as well as exceptionally strong writing skills.
FashioPoliceNg.com’s Editor must also have strong visual sensibilities and the ability to make fashion market recommendations that are suitable and appropriate for the site’s content. The position offers enormous potential for growth within the industry, and is an integral part of this exciting multi-media fashion and beauty start-up.
The ideal candidate must be presently based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing, and conceiving not less than five stories per day, across all fashion/style categories.
- Staying up to date on fashion/style news for timely stories and social engagement.
- Photo research, including downloading and gathering image sources.
- Assist in representing Fashion Police Nigeria wherever necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of celebrities, models, tastemakers, fashion bloggers, designers, and stylists
- 6-12 months experience in online publishing, with a proven background in fashion
- A university graduate with a good command of English, research, and copy-editing skills, as well as a deep love of fashion writing
- Must be resourceful, can-do attitude, innovative, willing to develop and excel in this field.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress will be an added advantage.
