Beyonce Officially Announced Her Haircare Line — “Hair is Sacred”

Beyonce has officially announced her foray into the haircare industry with the launch of her new line, CÉCRED. The announcement came on Tuesday through a nostalgic clip shared by the superstar on her social media platforms.

The video showcased glimpses from her mother Tina Knowles’ Headliners salon in Houston, Texas, which was opened back in 1990. In addition to the salon footage, the clip also featured Beyonce herself and several individuals getting their hair done.

Accompanying the video was a caption that read, “Hair is sacred. The journey begins Feb 20.” Beyonce also provided a link to CECRED.COM, where fans could sign up with their email addresses to receive updates about the upcoming haircare line.

Her followers, elated by the announcement, flocked to the comments section to express their excitement. However, there were some concerns that this new venture might divert the singer’s attention away from releasing a visual album to accompany her latest record, Renaissance.

Beyonce has previously shared her connection to the world of hair salons, as she and her former girl group Destiny’s Child famously worked at a salon in their music video for the hit song “Bills, Bills, Bills” released in 1999. This connection seems to have inspired her decision to venture into the haircare industry.

With Beyonce’s immense influence and popularity, it will be interesting to see what innovative products and concepts her haircare line, CÉCRED, will bring to the market. Given her dedication to perfection and her commitment to empowering others, it is likely that her line will aim to cater to a diverse range of hair types, textures, and needs.

As the release date of February 20 approaches, fans eagerly await further details about the products that will be included in the CÉCRED line. Beyonce’s immense talent and entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with her focus on celebrating the sacred nature of hair, have undoubtedly positioned her for success in this new business venture.

Meanwhile, in May last year, the superstar singer hinted about launching a haircare line sometime in the future. The Instagram post she posted showed a photo of the 29-Grammy-award winner getting her haircare in the first slide.

The second slide showed her daughter Blu Ivy in the salon with a hairstylist fussing over her protective style, while she revealed in the last slide that she used to work at her mother’s salon as her first job.

“How many of ya’ll knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” Bey revealed in the handwritten piece. “Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done.”

She continued: “I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

While the details of the CÉCRED line remain under wraps for now, it is safe to say that Beyonce’s foray into the haircare industry will be nothing short of remarkable.

From her enchanting music to her captivating performances, Beyonce has consistently demonstrated her ability to captivate audiences and push boundaries. It is only natural to expect the same level of dedication and excellence in her haircare line.
