Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2015 officially kicked off yesterday, 23rd May 2015, and this season, it was all about providing visibility platforms for new talents, who would otherwise not have the means to gather national attention and awareness of their own.
Showcasing on the Day 1 of the event was fashion brands, including Owems, On-ru Couture, Saziis, OmaEhime, MyOlaedo, Ady By Linda, African Things, Eminence 1129, Colours of C.U.E, Qozie Wears, Mbana house of styles, Hse of Panbal, Alabi Couture & Ruth 1470, De Laurels Outfit, Hemera, Souza, Buchiver, Anuba Couture, Zeeno Dee, Morin O, Grazee Stitches, Bisola Daramola, and Adaora’s etc.
We saw a lot of high slits, cut-outs, tassels and sheer dresses on the runway – which means the trend will take a major moment this year.
